MONSTERS

The works of man have dwarfed his being
He crouches amid his giant conceiving
Behemoths he loosed no longer heed
His guidance, for why should they need
Be told their nature is to his service tied
When they loom o'er him in their pride.
In vain he
struggles now to control,
Beasts whose needs consume his soul.
